Through photography and mixed media, Jennifer Kleven melds flora and fauna with city spaces sometimes through a single image, but often additions and mark making are used to enhance the physical print. Her history as a Las Vegas native has influenced her work by highlighting the lengths people will go through to achieve perfect unrealities and false identities.
Jennifer Kleven was born and raised in Las Vegas and received her BFA from UNLV in 2009. She operated a contemporary art space exhibiting emerging artists in downtown Las Vegas from December 2010- March 2013. She has exhibited at Donna Beam Fine Art Gallery and the Jesse Metcalf Gallery at UNLV and Trifecta and CounterSpace gallery in downtown Las Vegas. Currently, she works at the Neon Museum and splits her artistic time with photography, ceramics, collage and succulents.
