Erik Beehn, New Work at MCQ Fine Art, through May 20

Philip Denker at R. Cline Arts, through May. Open Preview Thursday and First Friday and by appointment.  All works were completed during his year long residency at the Roswell Artist in Residence Program.

Las Vegas News

Art Production Fund and the Nevada Museum of Art present Seven Magic Mountains a large-scale desert installation near Las Vegas by Ugo Rondinone. The site-specific work nearly five year years in the making is comprised of seven individual towering sculptures and is situated on the far southern end of Las Vegas Boulevard along Interstate 15. The public artwork will be on view for two years beginning May 11, 2016.

Jo Russ was one of the five local artists selected in the ArtPop Street Gallery competition held earlier this year. All five artists' work will go on display on outdoor billboards throughout the Las Vegas valley. The competition, designed to promote public awareness of the arts and provide opportunities for local artists to display their work, was provided by a partnership between the Las Vegas chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), Outfront Media, Clear Channel Media and the City of Las Vegas. Laura Napier shares the following opportunity: Habitable Spaces is thrilled to invite applications to their first official open-call residency program. Artists, builders and makers are encouraged to submit a project proposal for a 3-month stay at Habitable Spaces this fall (September-December, flexible). The successful applicant will be able to pursue a project of their own design, which contributes to our community farm of artists, WWOOFers, other volunteers, and the wider local area of Kingsbury, Texas.
